Before venturing into the online business world, I also tried off-line business. The real estate market was great; I saved some cash, in order to purchase a furniture store. However, a lack of experience in the furniture field, left me making one mistake after the other, and before I knew it in the short space of seven months I was $250,000 in debt, with over $100,000 sitting in inventory.
As much as I didn’t want to, I was forced to close the business down. I couldn’t believe how with a blink of an eye I lost my pants. If it wasn’t for my newborn son, I would have lost all hope to life.
I had a choice - sit and wait for a miracle, or to take action and make a change. Nobody believed I could do it. I kept trying different thing and kept failing. I had to sell our house and move to a smaller rental.
Expenditure was at an all time low, shopping was just for food and kept VERY basic. It seemed like everything I tried didn’t work. Almost a year passed by, and giving up was definitely NOT an option.
My car was repossessed, I didn’t even have cash to cover my rent; there were even moments when we had no diapers for our son. We actually didn’t eat any beef/chicken, we went vegetarian as a means to survive on the low budget that we did have. We simply couldn’t afford to buy anything.
It was so embarrassing asking friends to drive us to the store. Borrowing constantly and not being able to pay them back. I couldn’t look into their eyes, and I felt so ashamed of myself. It got to a point that I was avoiding to meet them.
My wife and I were constantly arguing, simply out of frustration, yet it seemed that nothing could be done. Thank God, I married a patient woman, and my wife believed in me, and totally supported any move that I made.

Back then; I had a lot of thoughts going through my mind. I was wondering if I’d ever get out of the rat race. I kept thinking what’s wrong with me? What am I doing wrong?’, why me? , why was my life a huge mess?
It was during those thoughts that it hit me. I faced the truth, and as painful as that was, I came to the conclusion that I can’t focus on anything for an elongated period of time. I seem to just get excited and, loose interest! I changed my mind too many times, and wasn’t decisive enough. All the businesses I had started had the potential to be successful, only I didn’t follow them through and focus enough.
It was then that I made myself a promise that whatever I will do next, I will hold on to it no matter what and won't let go until it's a total success……..
I started looking online. Since I had no car and lived in Ormond Beach, FL, I couldn’t drive to work. I had to find something that I could do from home. In addition, I couldn’t even afford a small office with just a phone.
So, I had to work from home. I was looking for something that I could learn without having a gift, back then it seemed that I was asking a lot, however after looking all over the internet for jobs from home, I soon realized that internet marketing sounded cool and didn’t require much investment besides my time to learn the skill.
I started reading blogs, and subscribed to all kinds of free information. I kept reading success stories and couldn’t wait to make it. The more informed I became about internet marketing, the simpler it seemed to be able to achieve actual results.

One of the main reasons that people fail or don’t achieve their goal is not having clear steps of action to take to achieve their goal. It's a big jigsaw puzzle. You need to know how to put everything together and you’ll be a guaranteed success. This is what I discovered: a clear plan, system and directions to get to the top. I also never lost focus whilst getting there.
So, what did I do? I decided to find the most successful person in the work from home market. I was trying to picture myself doing what they did from my home. I was willing to work hard and finally make it.
Finally by finding this gentleman I started to make a little money at first by following his steps. Amounts were getting larger and larger, and more consistent :) I then started to expand into different markets: selling products and services that people really wanted. The best of all, I never had to sell hard or talk to customers. People would only find my websites if they were interested in what I had to offer and were therefore much more likely to buy my products…
This is my story. I’m very successful now and appreciate everything I have. The biggest lesson that I learned from all of this is to keep focused, and truly believe that you can do it. I’ve found something that works and expanded on it - more project, more income streams and a joint venture partner with whom I share my online profits.
